Sports - Summer term
Term 3 basketball at Dubai College has thrived this year. We have fielded 13 teams across the girls and boys age groups and had over 150 students from Year 7, 8 and 9 taking part in basketball for Dubai College.
We have competed in 65 fixtures at home and on the road against a huge number of schools in the DASSA network. All of this is even more impressive considering that these are the first matches for DC because of COVID. The standard of play has been phenomenal and every student who has attended the practices and matches has made real progress. Basketball is thriving at Dubai College and it is great to see so many students enjoying the sport.

Water Polo Boys
Congratulations to our Under 13A and 15A Boys Water Polo teams for winning their respective DASSA leagues.
The Under 13s played a number of closely contested games against their close rivals JESS and DESC and were victorious in their last game against JESS by 3-0 The squad combined their swimming prowess and good ball skills to attack with intelligence and defend with controlled aggression throughout.
The Under 15 boys recovered from a first game loss to put together a very impressive five game winning streak to win the league. Having won impressive victories away from home, the final game of the season was a joy to watch with fluidity of movement in attack and excellent tactical play in defence. The highlight of the game was Alex Mantzavinatos shooting display, with many shots being executed with high speed and superb accuracy.
Congratulations to both squads.
