Dubai College is partnering once again with United World Schools to build UWS Kalika, This is our fourth school project in Nepal, to provide education for up to 180 students in a remote village area with the aim to complete construction by June 2025.

Dubai College has embraced the UAE’s Month of Reading with exciting initiatives to promote a reading culture. The 12-A-Day initiative encourages students, staff, and parents to read 12 pages daily, reinforced by Twelve-A-Day Tuesday tutor sessions. The Reading Majlis, introduced during Ramadan, provided a tranquil space for reflection. Additionally, two reading challenges—one combining art and literature and another celebrating Middle Eastern books—engaged the school community. With more reading initiatives planned for the next term, DC continues to inspire a lifelong love for books.

The Year 8 residential trip to Khorfakkan was an exciting adventure filled with team-building activities, water sports, and exploration. Students participated in challenges, enjoyed beach games, hiked at Al Rafisah Dam, and bonded over shared experiences, making unforgettable memories.

The ballroom dancing ECA had a busy term, with students earning over 17 medals in their IDTA tests and excelling in the Crown Cup competition in Ajman, where they won multiple top placements. Encouraged by their success, the team looks forward to more competitions next year while continuing to advance in their medal tests.

Year 7 finalists of the ‘Patterns in Nature’ competition spent a day with @beekeepers_foundation_uae. They learned about bees, explored hives, made candles, tasted honey, and extracted their own. They returned with sweet memories and a new appreciation for pollinators.

Dubai College volunteers participated in a beach cleanup at Jumeirah Public Beach on February 7, 2025, collecting 5,600 cigarette butts and over 3.5 kg of waste as part of the Save The Butts campaign to combat cigarette litter and plastic pollution.
