Dubai College celebrates a year of community-driven philanthropy, supporting vital projects in Nepal. Thanks to the generosity of students, staff, families, and the Charity Committee, we now look forward to the opening of UWS Kalika in Bandipur in July 2025.

The Rubik’s Cube Solver Workshop, led by Ayaan K from the Computer Science Society, brought together 10 students to design and build a fully functional robot capable of solving a scrambled cube. Combining robotics, computer vision, and algorithmic planning, the team used Raspberry Pi and 3D-printed components to create an autonomous problem-solving machine.

The DC Model Aircraft Club had a successful year of designing, building, and flying model planes, giving students hands-on experience in aerodynamics, engineering, and teamwork. With exciting plans ahead, the club welcomes new members passionate about aviation to join and help take it to new heights.

The FDC's energy, creativity, and community spirit has been nothing short of extraordinary this year. From launching two new subcommittees, Diversity & Inclusion and Wellbeing, to hosting a dazzling array of events, the FDC has worked tirelessly to foster a stronger, more connected DC community. Highlights include our cultural celebrations such as the Festival of Light, Lunar New Year, and International Day, as well as impactful wellbeing initiatives, vibrant student milestone events, and the ever-popular uniform sales.
Each event was a testament to the power of collaboration between parents, staff, and students and reflected the heart of our mission: to connect, support, and celebrate every member of the DC community.

Dubai College’s careers programme has thrived this year, offering students a wide range of events, workshops, and encounters with industry professionals to help them explore and prepare for future pathways. From large-scale networking events to hands-on insight days and international university fairs, students across all year groups have developed key skills and gained meaningful exposure to the world of work.

DC Basketball had a standout term, with over 80 boys competing and U12s crowned DASSA champions, while the girls’ teams showcased incredible growth, resilience, and teamwork across all age groups. From thrilling last-minute wins to dominant performances, the season highlighted the players’ development, strong team spirit, and inspiring leadership both on and off the court.

DC Netball wrapped up an incredible season with league victories across divisions, standout performances from B, C, and D teams, and major accomplishments including a fourth Open Youth title and players selected for national pathways. With exciting international tournaments ahead in the UK and New Zealand, the programme continues to thrive under the leadership of Director of Netball, Lucia Sdao.

The Water Polo teams across all age groups delivered an outstanding season, with multiple unbeaten runs, dominant victories, and remarkable growth in skill and teamwork. From U13 to U15, both boys and girls showcased resilience, determination, and sportsmanship, laying strong foundations for future success.
