Community

At Dubai College, community is far more than a word we use, it is the heartbeat of our school. It is the relationships that form in classrooms and corridors, the friendships that last a lifetime, and the shared moments that bring students, staff, parents and alumni together year after year. With more than 6,500 people connected to the school across the world, our community is one of our greatest strengths and the reason Dubai College feels like a place where everyone belongs. This is our community:

Our 1,139 students are supported by a vibrant network of parents, dedicated staff and an ever‑growing body of alumni spanning more than four decades. Whether it’s a new Year 7 student finding their place on campus or a graduate reconnecting with old friends halfway across the world, every member contributes to the culture of kindness, curiosity and character that defines Dubai College.

Parents remain at the heart of school life. With over 2,000 current parents, our community is built on collaboration and partnership. Their support, from volunteering at events to cheering on students at concerts, competitions and productions, enriches the DC experience for everyone.

Our 247 staff members also play a vital role in shaping the fabric of our community. They bring passion, expertise and compassion to their work each day, creating an environment where students feel known, valued and encouraged to be their very best.

And our 3,000+ alumni continue to be part of DC long after they leave, carrying the school’s values into universities, workplaces and communities around the globe, coming back to visit and share their experiences and inspire the intrigue of others preparing for their own journeys beyond the school gates.

Traditions That Bind Us Together

Every year, the Friends of Dubai College (FDC) work tirelessly to bring our community together through social events, wellbeing activities and milestone celebrations. Their commitment ensures that students, parents and staff can share meaningful moments throughout the academic year, from welcoming new families to marking achievements and creating lasting memories.

Our alumni also stay deeply connected through long‑standing traditions. The annual London reunion has been a highlight for decades and continues to draw graduates and staff alumn from across the UK each November. As our global community expands, new gatherings in Dubai, Toronto and Boston ensure that DC alumni worldwide can reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the friendships that began here.

Giving Back, Together

Community at Dubai College is also expressed through service. The Dubai College Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales that channels the generosity of our parents, students, staff and alumni to support educational and charitable projects overseas. Through this collective effort, our community continues to make a meaningful impact far beyond our own campus.
