Occasional Places Frequently Asked Questions

Expressions of interest will be reviewed; we will consider students’ academic and extra-curricular profiles, and a limited number of candidates will be short-listed. Individual candidates who are short-listed will be contacted directly to progress their application.  

The application process will include academic assessment, interview and an assessment of their extra-curricular ability. More information about the assessment and interview process will be shared with candidates who are invited to attend.   

Dubai College welcomes applications from students of determination who would benefit from the academic rigour of our curriculum. Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), whose academic profile fits with the selective entrance criteria, will be supported fully if successful.

Please ensure that you indicate on the online application form if there are any barriers to learning. We may require a recent Educational Psychologist report, and IEP or a letter from the SENCO at your child’s school if you would like to be considered for access arrangements for the Occasional Places assessment.

There are no fees in order to submit an expression of interest.  For shortlisted candidates, a total fee of AED 525 including VAT is payable in order to accept our invitation to assessment.  This is made up of an application fee (AED 100 + VAT) and an assessment fee (AED 400 + VAT).

For students offered occasional places, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the annual tuition fees will be payable within one week of the offer letter in order to accept the place.
