Occasional Places Scheme - open from 2nd February 2026 to 25th February 2026 at 4.00pm UAE time.
When the scheme is open, we welcome expressions of interest from exceptional candidates both locally and overseas who demonstrate both high academic performance and substantial achievement in one or more of the areas detailed below.
General guidance for entry to Years 8, 9 and 10
All successful applicants will have a minimum score of 110 across the four elements of the GL CAT4. They will also be achieving in line with subject expectations in all subjects and above expectations in those subjects relevant to their interests.

Please note: we regret that we cannot give feedback to applicants who do not meet the above criteria for either drama, music or sport.
Should we anticipate places becoming available, expressions of interest will be reviewed and individual candidates will be contacted directly to progress an application. The application process will include academic assessment, interview and an assessment of their extra-curricular ability. More information about the assessment and interview process will be shared with candidates who are invited to attend. We will be pleased to arrange an individual school tour at this stage. Places will be offered to successful candidates as soon as they arise.
