Year 12 Entry

Applications to join Year 12 in August 2026 are currently closed.  

In case of any late availability of places, this page will be updated in the week commencing 17th August 2026.

If we are able to consider any late applications, please note: 

1. Any late applications will only be considered after the GCSE results date (Thursday 20th August).
2. All applicants must meet the grade criteria below.
3. Please note that any late availability of places will be limited to certain A Level subject options only which will be listed on our website at that time.
4. Our online application form will be available for late applications from 20th August only if we have places available.

Entry to Dubai College is selective.  

External applicants to the Sixth Form will be expected to show significant academic success at GCSE or its equivalent:

• A minimum of 6 subjects at grade 7 (A) would be expected including English and Mathematics. It would be assumed that a number of these grades would be at grade 8 (A*) level, and
• 7/8/9 (A/A*) grades would be expected in those subjects to be studied at A Level. Please refer to the A Level Options Booklet for minimum GCSE requirements for specific A Level subjects.
• Applicants who are intending to take the Arabic A course at Dubai College must pass our Arabic A assessment.
• All students must be fluent in written and spoken English.

While our students do have a long track record of excelling academically, we welcome students who show interest and ability in sports and the creative arts as well as academic endeavour. As a school we aim to educate students who are socially articulate and well-rounded as well as academic and we encourage applications from students who will thrive in a demanding secondary school environment.

Please note that all offers of entry to Year 12 are conditional, subject to success at GCSE or its equivalent, and will reflect the grade requirements detailed above.  

In line with the KHDA Guidelines for Admissions and Transfers, high school students (Grades 9-12 or Years 10-13) must seek UAE Ministry of Education approval when transferring to schools with a different curriculum.
