External applicants to the Sixth Form will be expected to show significant academic success at GCSE or its equivalent:
- A minimum of 6 subjects at grade 7 (A) would be expected including English and Mathematics. It would be assumed that a number of these grades would be at grade 8 (A*) level, and
- 7/8/9 (A/A*) grades would be expected in those subjects to be studied at A Level.
- Applicants who are intending to take the Arabic A course at Dubai College must pass our Arabic A assessment.
- All students must be fluent in written and spoken English.
While our students do have a long track record of excelling academically, we also admit students who show interest and ability in sports and the creative arts as well as academic endeavour. As a school we aim to educate students who are socially articulate and well-rounded as well as academic and we welcome applications from students who will thrive in a demanding secondary school environment.
Please note that in line with the KHDA Guidelines for Admissions and Transfers, high school students (Grades 9-12 or Years 10-13) must seek UAE Ministry of Education approval when transferring to schools with a different curriculum.
