Year 12 entry
Applications to join Year 12 in August 2024 are now closed.
Entry to Dubai College is selective. A limited number of places may arise to join the school in Year 12 each year, depending upon leavers from the year group.
For entry to Year 12 in August 2024, we currently forecast that only a limited number of places are likely to be available, due to current year group sizes.
External applicants to the Sixth Form will be expected to show significant academic success at GCSE or its equivalent:
- A minimum of 6 subjects at grade 7 (A) would be expected including English and Mathematics. It would be assumed that a number of these grades would be at grade 8 (A*) level, and
- 7/8/9 (A/A*) grades would be expected in those subjects to be studied at A Level.
- Applicants who are intending to take the Arabic A course at Dubai College must pass our Arabic A assessment.
- All students must be fluent in written and spoken English.
While our students do have a long track record of excelling academically, we also admit students who show interest and ability in sports and the creative arts as well as academic endeavour. As a school we aim to educate students who are socially articulate and well-rounded as well as academic and we welcome applications from students who will thrive in a demanding secondary school environment.
Please note that in line with the KHDA Guidelines for Admissions and Transfers, high school students (Grades 9-12 or Years 10-13) must seek UAE Ministry of Education approval when transferring to schools with a different curriculum.
The Sixth Form at Dubai College prides itself on academic distinction, extra-curricular dedication and a strong pastoral network.
Those who put on the blue shirt for the first time are embarking on a two-year journey of great challenge and reward, and are joining a legion of great pedigree, an alumni and student body that boasts entrepreneurs, engineers and exceptional leaders in industry.
