The Psychology Department is a new and exciting addition to the school with popular demand by students to study the subject at A Level. The Department currently consists of two full-time teachers and is extremely well resourced with the latest schemes of work currently being implemented in line with curriculum changes.
The Psychology Department plays a key role in the co-curricular activities and runs a Psychology Society, as well as trips to international educational conferences. The students are provided with remarkable opportunities, such as a visit to The ASPIRE Growth Mindset Psychology Conference to meet and question keynote speaker, the renowned Dr Philip Zimbardo of the Stanford Prison Experiment. Such educational conferences tie in very closely with the A Level Psychology curriculum, as well as providing students with an insight into the careers available within the psychological field.
