House Activities         

 

Dubai College has a keenly contested House competition which involves practically every student in the school. 

Although sporting events constitute a large part of the programme, the competition has evolved into something much more diverse.

There are now many schools in Dubai and inter-school rivalry is alive and well, but our House Programme continues to flourish and there is keen competition between the Houses.  All events are contested by all age groups including: football (both boys and girls), rugby, netball, basketball, softball, rounders, volleyball, water polo, swimming, athletics, badminton, quizzes, music, public speaking, and merits (earned through homeworks, classwork, tests, exams). 

In total there are 72 competitions throughout the year.

There are four Houses:  Barbarossa, Chichester, Cousteau, Heyerdahl (can you spot the connection?)
