Course Outline
The syllabus seeks to provide individual students with the knowledge and understanding to enhance their own performance. Students will need to offer two practical activities from the following groups: individual activities, team games, and/or racket sports, whilst experiencing a range of other activities that will support their development. Within the six units, links have been made between units in order to provide a coherent and unified overview of the whole subject area. In the coursework there is an opportunity for students to gain a broad understanding of the practical performance at 'AS' and to allow for specialism in a chosen area at A’ Level.
Central to the course is the Individual Performance Portfolio, which requires students to record and monitor their experiences as well as store evidence of associated assessment tasks.
