Introducing the ABRSM 

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) is the largest, as well as the leading, organisation specialising in music assessments.  Based in London, it has since 1889 provided music educators, pupils and parents with exams and assessments that promote consistent standards and carry recognised international authority.

ABRSM exams are designed to motivate and encourage pupils and students at all levels from the Preparatory through to the Diploma stage.  As part of a broad education in music, ABRSM exams are a valuable tool providing a reliable method of evaluating an individual’s performance and progress.

The practical exams cover a wide variety of instruments and singing and are complemented by graded Theory exams.

Dubai College has been the ABRSM’s local examination centre for nearly 30 years.  Currently we hold Practical and Theory examinations in the Spring and Autumn.
